Build Season Week 4 2024-2025

Robot

Mainly, the Build team focused on fabrication, making, and assembling the elevator and the coral intake.

We also narrowed down our schedule for the upcoming week, trying to have a realistic plan for when we will get certain projects done.

Impact + Public Relations

This week we finished and submitted the Woodie Flowers Essay to Camdenton High School teachers for feedback and constructive criticism.

We also began the creation of our Impact Video. We filmed and collected voiceovers for video participants.

Additionally, we started making this year's button designs.

LASER also made a FIRST Flowers delivery.

Build Season Week 3 2024-2025

Robot

This week we finished CADing our practice robot and began machining, wiring, and building, the "Proto-Bot"

For Strategy, we worked on our gameplay ideas. Planning out how our competition robot would move throughout the field during a match. With this, we started planning what we would like to do to score points.

Impact + Public Relations

We started brainstorming Impact projects, and finished our Woodie Flowers Essay. Additionally, we decided on a schedule for when and where we will deliver our flowers for our FIRST Flowers and Sunshine for Seniors initiatives.

We also worked on updating our social media pages, specifically our YouTube and Website.

Strategy focused on curating autonomous path plans and coming up with gameplay strategy ideas.

Build continued CADing the robot prototype, working out various design kinks.

Impact + Public Relations

This week, Impact worked towards combining two of the rough drafts for the Woodie Flowers Essay. LASER simultaneously

This week, Impact worked toward the combining of both the Woodie Flowers Essay and the Impact Essay rough drafts. LASER simultaneously worked on updating and reworking the LASER 3284 Website.

Build Season Week 1 2024-2025

On Kickoff, the team split into groups of five to brainstorm robot design. We then came together after an hour or so to present our ideas to the whole team, this allowed for constructive criticism, the involvement of all members, and for the most cohesive and thought-through design, to be decided on.

After Kickoff, LASER came in on a series of snow days to start CADing and constructing the building of the Proto-Bot.

Impact + Public Relations

After working with the rest of the team on a robot design on Kickoff Day, the Impact team got to work on planning our Impact video, writing out essays, and scheduling outreach projects.
In the week before Kickoff, we used the snow days to our advantage. Working on our Impact essay from home on all five days, and coming together via Google Meet to discuss topics and delegate work.
