Competition Season Week 7 2024-2025

4/25/2025

At World’s, our team was part of the Daly division, competing with some of the best-of-the-best, allowing us to be incredibly inspired by their genius. We had a total of 4 wins throughout the entire competition, competing in 10 total qualification rounds. We were not picked to be part of any alliances after qualification matches, and failed to win any awards at this competition. Despite our faults at Worlds this year, we are more than grateful to have been able to even participate in this, often, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Every year that we have had the pleasure of competing here, at Worlds, our team participated in the Daly division, competing against some of the best in the field, which was incredibly inspiring. We secured a total of 4 wins throughout the entire competition, competing in 10 qualification rounds. Unfortunately, we were not selected to be part of any alliances after the qualification matches and did not win any awards at this event. Despite our challenges at Worlds this year, we are immensely grateful for the opportunity to participate in this, often once-in-a-lifetime, experience. Each year that we have competed here, we return home with more knowledge than we came with, and, more importantly, with ten times more motivation. We come back with a renewed drive to grow, achieve, and learn. we have come back home with more information than what we left with, and more importantly, 10x more drive than before. More drive to grow, achieve, and learn.

This isn’t our best year, and it surely will not be our worst. Thank you FIRST for the best Reefscape season ever!

Competition Season Weeks 5 & 6 2024-2025

4/22/2025

Robot

Throughout these two weeks there has been a whirlwind of activity as we diligently prepare for the upcoming World's competition. Our team has spent countless hours critiquing and refining the various intricate components of our robot. We’ve made significant adjustments to our end effector, ensuring it operates precisely and efficiently. Additionally, we've integrated new mechanisms, such as a climber, designed to enhance our robot's agility and strategic gameplay. These thoughtful modifications aim to optimize our robot's performance to score critical points on the field. With each enhancement, our anticipation grows, and we eagerly look forward to witnessing the positive results of our efforts in the exciting weeks ahead.

Impact + Public Relations

In the last couple of weeks, our team has been busy sharing updates about what we've been up to in the community. One highlight was joining a local KRMS radio show, where we got to talk about the exciting events we have coming up, as well as the work our team does in general. We also made a Sunshine for Seniors delivery, which was a great way to connect with people while showcasing what we’re all about. Making these deliveries is always nice chance for us to show our dedication to innovation and getting involved in the community.

Competition Season Week 4 2024-2025

4/3/2025

Robot

This week, we focused on preparing for the Greater Kansas City Regional by addressing challenges from the Colorado Regional and planning changes for Worlds. We also refined our code, especially our autonomous functions.

At the Greater Kansas City Regional, we placed 12th in qualifications and were selected as the first team for the 6th alliance. Although we didn’t make it to the elimination rounds, we had a great time working with Team 2457, The Law, and Team 1825, The Cyborgs.

Impact + Public Relations

Over the past week, we've focused on improving our presentation skills and updating our props as we continue through the competition season. Following our success in winning the Impact Award in Colorado, we are eager to ensure confidence in our presentation and expertise.

At GKC, receiving the Judge’s Award is a meaningful recognition of our team's journey. We are deeply thankful for the commitment and spirit of everyone involved. This achievement reflects our growth as individuals and as a cohesive unit. Together, we’ve created something special, and we’re excited for what’s ahead. Thank you all for being vital to this journey!
